Bike Rodeo

The Mt. Lebanon, Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair Police Departments will be hosting a Bicycle Safety Rodeo on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 10 am – 2pm in the Kohl’s parking lot at Village Square Mall in Bethel Park.

The rodeo will include a safety course, helmet safety demonstrations, and bicycle inspections by Pro Bikes of Bethel Park.  The Kohl’s Hard Heads program of Children’s Hospital will also be on hand to talk to children about the importance of wearing a helmet, and they will be handing out coupons for a free helmet!

To participate in the bicycle obstacle course, you must bring a bicycle and helmet, and a liability waiver must be signed. (There will be some helmets available for children who do not have a helmet so they can participate in the event.)

Fire Departments and EMS agencies from each community will also be participating and sponsoring the event.

A certificate of completion will be given to each participant.  Participants can also register to win a Bicycle! One Boys bike and one girl’s bike will be raffled off at 1:45 pm the day of the event.

The event will be held rain or shine!

Special Thanks to Oxford Development for allowing us to have the Rodeo on their property.
