Community Crime Map

September 1, 2017 News

The Mt. Lebanon Police Department is phasing out our old police blotter for a new enhanced technology.

This new platform allows us to share crime / incident-related data in a much more efficient manner that also complies with the standards set forth in the Criminal History Records Information Act.

The new system involves an interactive community crime map, which is tied to our Tip411 app.

Here’s how it works: Information from daily police reports goes into a spreadsheet, which is then pulled into mapping software.

1. Go to:

2. Select Mt. Lebanon (PA – Mt. Lebanon) in the drop-down menu under “Jump to City”.

3. Sort the crime by many details, such as date range, type of crime, etc.

The crime reports will be mapped for you.

When you click on one, you will see specific details about the incident and have the option to send an anonymous tip about the event directly to Mt. Lebanon Police without any information to identify you.

When an officer responds to a call for service, information about the event is compiled and placed into a database.

Community Crime Map, powered by LexisNexis, takes this data, cleans it to protect victim privacy, and displays it to the public so citizens can be aware of the events that occur in their area and take action to stay safe.

Crime mapping helps you get a better idea of the crime activity in your area so you can make more informed decisions about how to stay safe.

Our Community Crime Map helps us serve you better by reducing crime and improving public safety.

This is a free service provided to the citizens and visitors of Mt. Lebanon.
