**UPDATE – Suspect arrested** – Pedestrian Struck – Severely Injured – Driver Left the Scene

​Following our investigation of a hit & run crash that occurred on Saturday evening in Mt. Lebanon, MLPD Traffic Unit Officers obtained an arrest warrant for the following individual believed to be involved in this leaving the scene of the crash:

49 yrs old

Pittsburgh, PA 15216

​Flores ​turned himself in this morning to the Allegheny County Sheriffs, and he is currently awaiting arraignment on the  ​following charges:

PA Vehicle Code:
– 3742 (a) – Accidents involving death or personal injury (Felony – 3rd degree)

– 3746 (a)(1) – Immediate notice of accident to police department (Summary)

PA Crimes Code:
– 4910 (1) – Tampering with or fabricating physical evidence (Misdemeanor – 2nd degree)












Previous Release:

On Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:20pm, MLPD Officers responded to a vehicle/pedestrian crash that occurred at the intersection of Washington Road and Cedar Boulevard in Mt. Lebanon.  A female pedestrian was crossing west to east across Washington Road when she was struck. The striking vehicle stopped momentarily at the scene, but then continued north on Washington Road toward Dormont and the City of Pittsburgh.  The victim sustained major breaks to both her femurs and a head injury.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a smaller red Jeep SUV, possibly a Liberty or a Compass, driven by a white or Indian male with a medium complexion.  This male is described as being approximately 5’8″ tall, medium build with short black hair.  

There may be some damage to the vehicle on the front passenger’s side or the hood as the pedestrian was pushed almost 60 feet from the point of impact.   Photos of vehicles similar to the suspect vehicle are shown below.

Officers from the MLPD Traffic Services Unit are actively investigating this incident, including reconstructing the crash and seeking video surveillance footage from several cameras in the area.
